Margot has worked as a teaching artist and full time drama teacher for organizations like BASIS Independent Manhattan, Honolulu Theatre for Youth, The New Victory Theatre, American Place Theatre, Young Audiences NY, The Leadership Program, Spellbound Theatre, Roundabout Theater Company and Acting Manitou Theatre Camp. She has taught nationally and internationally with Double Image Theatre Lab, and taught at the University level at Carroll College, City College of New York,  University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and SUNY Purchase College School of Art and Design. She has taught acting, devised theatre, storytelling in the classroom, puppetry in the classroom, mask making in the classroom, applied theatre, theatre for social change, playwriting, shakespeare, theatre history, circus arts, physical theatre and creative play.
