A Chance Shadow.jpg

A Chance Shadow

A Chance Shadow is a poetic play inspired by the Chinese poet Xu Zhimo (1897~1931) and the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca (1898~1936). Xu was one of the first Chinese writers to successfully naturalize Western romantic forms into modern Chinese poetry and Lorca was a social activist who changed the world around him though his unique style of surrealism and theatricality. With their passion for literature, social reform and true love, they changed society. By using the elements of pop-up arts, Shadow Theater, Toy Theater and poetry, the show brings the audience into the poets’ romantic and historical worlds.

A Space Between The Red Dress.jpg

The Red Dress

Margot is an artistic contributor and ensemble member in The Red Dress.  It started out with a lie. Now, as Erin is looking sex straight in the eye. She’s getting input from all sides: lectures, tweets, even her own past won’t shut up. The Red Dress tells a story every young girl struggles with. Is it time? Will it change me? As Erin wades through all the noise, she makes her way through the past and the present towards a universal issue that we all must face: what is sex all about, and how does it make me who I am?

The Red Dress performed at
Clemente Soto Velez Cultural
